Supporting Indigenous Community Projects

The Aanii Nichii Drones Indigenous Community Aerial Initiative is a volunteer program that provides aerial photography support for Indigenous community initiatives.

Through this program, Aanii Nichii Drones donates flight time to organizations and projects that promote cultural awareness, environmental stewardship, and community wellbeing.

Community Partners

Organizations and initiatives supported by the program include:

  • The Katarokwi urban Indigenous community

  • The Highway 15 Indigenous Food Sovereignty Garden

  • Little Forests Kingston

  • Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest

These aerial perspectives help showcase the beauty, cultural significance, and environmental importance of these spaces.

Aerial Perspectives for Cultural Connection

The initiative supports storytelling that highlights the relationship between Indigenous culture, land stewardship, and food sovereignty.

By capturing aerial imagery of gardens, forests, and cultural spaces, Aanii Nichii Drones helps promote awareness of Indigenous knowledge, sustainable land practices, and collaborative community relationships.
